Resilience in partnership with TTM Healthcare are holding an Advanced Community Care Nursing Open day on the 27th of February in Tralee. Join us for an opportunity to change lives: yours included. Roles are available on a a full time, part time and relief basis in locations including Tralee, Killarney, Castleisland, Annascaul and Abbeydorney. Interviews and job offers will take place on the day.

What is the Position?

Within their own home, you will provide a professional, high-quality, safe and caring, one-to-one nursing service to a client who has complex care needs. You will work as part of a nursing team, delivering highly-individual, personal nursing care to ensure your client’s total needs are met .

What is the Role?

You will:

  • Assess and deliver on the complex care needs of your client by developing, implementing and constantly evolving their individual Care Plan
  • Carry out your nursing role according to the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Registered Nurses
  • Comply with evidence-based practice while maintaining and developing your own, personal, professional competence
  • Promote and participate in dialogue between clients, families, HSE and other relevant MDT representatives
  • Receive and share complex clinical information - based on the client’s clinical condition and the interventions used and forming the basis of your client’s care plan
  • Complete accurate and professional clinical notes

What Qualifications will I have?

As a Nurse caring for CHILDREN with complex care needs, you should have:

  • Current NMBI registration
  • RCN or RGN with recent experience of nursing children with complex care needs
  • Minimum of 1 year’s post-qualification experience
  • The competence, confidence and commitment to work as part of the Advanced Community Care team.

As a Nurse caring for ADULTS with complex care needs, you should have:

  • Current NMBI registration
  • RGN
  • Minimum of 1 year’s post-qualification experience;
  • The competence, confidence and commitment to work as part of the Advanced Community Care team.
  • Previous community care experience – such as one-to-one care in the home – is an advantage in both instances.
