Job Summary:                Focused on developing new and innovative models of care and support services, this post will lead a pipeline of projects and programmes from initial discovery work to implementation stages, in the areas of Disability, Autism, Intellectual Disability / Mental Health and Rare Disorders. The successful candidate will be a person who aligns with our purpose “To empower the People we support to live their best life possible”, thereby supporting the organisation in achieving the greatest impact in the design, planning and delivery of evidence based, best practice and person centred programmes and services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Development:
    • Conduct comprehensive research and discovery work to identify best practice solutions and models of service in the areas of Disability, Autism, Intellectual Disability / Mental Health and Rare Disorders.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in the healthcare sector.
    • Analyse data and evidence from a variety of sources to inform service development and improvement strategies.
  • Care and Service Solutions Development:
    • Develop innovative care and service models, programmes and frameworks that enhance service user outcomes and service effectiveness.
    • Ensure new models are evidence-based and align with the organisation’s strategic goals.
  • Financial Modelling and Business Case Development:
    • Collaborate with the finance team to develop detailed financial models that support new initiatives and projects.
    • Work with stakeholders to create comprehensive business cases that justify investment in new projects, detailing expected outcomes, costs, and benefits.
  • Project Development and Implementation:
    • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of health and social care programmes and projects from discovery to completion.
    • Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Support the organisation, if required in the development and implementation of disability specific programmes, for example Assisted Decision Making, Outcome Measures, Person Centred Planning, Human Rights or UNCRPD Goals.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Establish the key performance indicators (KPIs) which will be used to monitor the performance of new models and services once integrated into the operations of organisation.
    • Review and report on performance data to the senior leadership team, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Outcomes Measurement Project:
    • Develop and implement outcomes measurement projects to evaluate the effectiveness of new care models.
    • Use data and feedback to refine and improve service models as required.
  • National and International Project Leadership:
    • Plan, research, and develop models of care and services for districts outside of Ireland.
    • Lead national and international projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic plan.
    • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and partner companies, to facilitate project success.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing existing models of care and developing new service offerings.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and implement changes that lead to better service user outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify needs, ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives.
    • Communicate effectively with senior leaders, employees, and other key stakeholders to gather input and feedback.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all programmes / projects, including research findings, project plans, business cases, and performance reports.
    • Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to senior leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Training and Development:
    • Provide training and support to employees involved in the handover and implementation of new models and services.
  • Develop training materials and programs to ensure employees are well-equipped to deliver new programmes and/or services effectively.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all new models and services comply with relevant regulations and quality standards.
    • Implement quality assurance processes to monitor and maintain high standards of care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health and Social Care, Nursing, Allied Health or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a healthcare planner, healthcare professional, or project manager in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of disability support services, care delivery, and service improvement practices.
  • Knowledge of Health and Disability Policies and Regulatory Frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business cases.
  • Experience in leading healthcare projects, implementing frameworks, models of care and innovations.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred experiences:

  • Advanced degree or certifications in healthcare planning or project management.
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing KPIs for performance monitoring.
  • Interest in the application of Assistive Technology an advantage.
