About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Architectural Technologist or Junior Architect with a minimum of three years’ experience in an architectural practice or similar office based employment to join our Property Department. This role is fully remote, with occasional site visits as required. You will contribute to the design, planning, and delivery of high-quality residential care projects across Ireland, ensuring compliance with Irish building regulations and healthcare standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of residential care projects from concept to completion.
  • Prepare technical drawings, models, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
  • Support planning applications and BCMS submissions in line with Irish regulations.
  • Conduct site assessments and surveys, preparing reports and updating project documentation.
  • Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and contractor reviews.
  • Stay up to date with Irish Building Regulations, HSE and HIQA standards, Health Care industry requirements, universal accessibility, and sustainability requirements.

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an architectural office, ideally in the residential or healthcare sector.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
  • Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations, planning processes, and BC(A)R compliance.
  • Experience in producing technical drawings and detailing.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively in a remote working environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve.

 

Desirable

  • Knowledge of HIQA standards and healthcare-specific design requirements.
  • Experience in refurbishment and retrofit projects.
  • Familiarity with BIM processes.
