Overview

The Business Development Manager is responsible for executing the organisation’s commercial strategies to drive revenue growth. The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in identifying business opportunities, building strong partnerships and ensuring the organisation’s products or services meet customer needs and market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities, industry trends, market dynamics and competitive activities for business growth within the home healthcare sector.

2. Sales and Business Development:

  • Lead in achieving revenue targets and expanding the customer base.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations.

3. Pricing and Contract Negotiation:

  • Implement competitive pricing strategies to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Support negotiation on contracts, service agreements, and terms with clients, vendors, and partners.

4. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Focus on customer satisfaction and retention strategies to build long-term relationships.
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to enhance products/services and customer experience.

5. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilise data analytics to assess business development performance, customer behaviour, and market trends.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations.

6. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with operations, marketing, finance, HR and other departments to ensure seamless integration of business development strategies with overall company operations.

 

Qualifications and essential criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of success in commercial leadership roles (3 years+).
  • Demonstrate the values and principles required to uphold and maintain the culture and mission of the organisation.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, influence and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and data analytics tools.
  • Leadership qualities, including team management and decision-making skills.

Demonstrable success in business development  in the home healthcare industry would be a distinct advantage.
