What is Advanced Community Care?

As a Resilience Advanced Community Care nurse, you provide excellent, individualised nursing care to children and adults with complex healthcare needs, within the family home. We call it nursing as its best.

From New Techniques to Changing Guidelines

The Academy provides a comprehensive suite of courses, and all relate to nursing practices specifically for children and adults who require support as a result of injury, illness or disability – or who need the intervention of medical technology to survive. Many of our Nurse’s benefit from learning techniques not previously taught while they were training, while others are able to ensure they work according to new guidelines and procedures.

Fully Flexible

The courses are very flexible to allow you to study in the way that suits you. Wherever possible, we use central locations for training, so you don’t have to travel too far, saving you valuable time. Some of the courses are also online.

Lead by Expertise

The Nurse Academy is headed up by Clinical Practice Specialist and Nurse Tutor, Cora O’Leary. Cora has a Master’s in Nursing and is a Paediatric Nurse, with a background in Cardiology, PICU, A&E and Retrievals. Cora works with the Universities as well as the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, to get training days approved.

Fully Funded

As a Resilience Nurse your training is FREE, and you are paid to attend training sessions.
