Resilience Nurses

Q. Orlaith, what made you decide to choose homecare/community career in nursing?
A. Homecare is much more personalised care as you are there 100% of the time with your client. The care we provide ensures they have a better quality of life while living in their own home in a personal environment with love and support from their family members.

Q. What are the most rewarding aspects of your job?
A. To know that you are making a difference in someone’s life and to their family. Seeing first-hand how they interact with me and that they can have a normal a life as possible.

Q. What are you most proud of in your nursing career to date?
A. Since working with clients at home I do feel very privileged to be in their lives and giving a high standard of care and seeing their happy moments and their personality flourishing. Also knowing that the family really appreciate me being there.

Resilience NursesQ. How do you handle the stress of the job?

Q. In your view what makes a good day at work for a nurse shift?
A. Every day is good day that you get to do your work in a job you love, and you are there for your patient and family.
