Home from Home is an Afterschool Respite service in Killarney for Children aged four years and over.
Providing a fun and supportive meaningful engagement, afterschool service to Children and teenagers with disabilities.
Location: Killarney, Co Kerry
Type of contract: Part time (20 hours per week – Monday – Saturday) & Relief contracts
Hours of work: After School – 1/2pm to 5/6pm weekdays
Closed Bank holidays and Sundays.

Skills Required
- Full Driver’s license essential
- Qualification in Childcare, Youth and Community Work, Social Care or Healthcare (not essential)
- Skills or Qualification in areas such as art, drama, dance, music, baking/ cooking and sports are welcome.
- Experience with providing personal care.
- Experience and knowledge of supporting people with behaviours of concern.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
Job Responsibilities
- Support with accessing the local community
- Support with Leisure Skills & Social Skills (swimming, horse-riding)
- Increase levels of independence and daily living skills
- Personal/intimate care
