Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Co. Kerry (including Tralee, Listowel, Killarney and surrounding areas)
Contract: Permanent Full Time, Part Time and Relief hours available
Basic Hourly Rate: €15.00 per hour (Premium rates apply to night, weekend and public holiday shifts)

About the Role:
As a Support Worker in Co. Kerry, you will work across a variety of service types including residential services, supported living, outreach, and Home from Home environments. You will support individuals with additional needs to live as independently as possible, whether in their own homes, community settings, or small residential services.
This is a dynamic and rewarding role requiring flexibility, compassion, and a strong commitment to person-centred care.
What We’re Looking For:
- QQI Level 5 Major Award (or above) in Health or Social Care, or equivalent
- Full clean Irish Driver’s Licence
- 3 Work References

Key Responsibilities of Support Worker:
- Provide high-quality, safe, and person-centred support to individuals with additional needs, promoting independence and wellbeing
- Implement, monitor, and contribute to the development of individualised care and support plans
- Support service users with activities of daily living, including personal and intimate care, in a respectful and dignified manner
- Assist with daily household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Support service users to access community activities, appointments, education, and social opportunities
- Work across a range of service types including residential, outreach, supported living, and Home from Home services
- Act as a Key Worker when required, advocating for service users and supporting goal setting and achievement
- Administer medication and follow all clinical and organisational policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and complete all required documentation
- Report and record all incidents, accidents, and safeguarding concerns
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including families and external professionals
- Support the development and review of risk assessments and ensure safe working practices
- Promote positive relationships and maintain professional communication
- Support service users in managing personal finances where required
- Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous professional development
- Work flexibly across a 24/7 service, including nights and weekends (Residential & Supported Living)
- Work flexibly across days, evenings and some weekends (Outreach & Home from Home)
