Financial Controller
Resilience Healthcare | Ennis (Hybrid) | Permanent, full time | Reports to the Chief Financial Officer
Resilience Healthcare provides residential and day services for people with disabilities across Ireland. Our 3x10x vision is driving rapid growth, with a large programme of new services, and the finance function has to be strong enough to keep pace.
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to run that function day to day, working closely and collaboratively with the CFO.
Why This Role
• The day to day running of finance, with the autonomy and backing to improve on an already strong function as the company scales on its 3x10x ambition.
• A rapidly growing business with plenty to do. New services, funding, reporting and the control environment will be key areas of focus.
• An established, experienced team that knows and understands the business, and the room to help shape how the function evolves.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Accounts and Controls
• The quality of our reporting and the controls behind them.
• Oversight of journals, reconciliations and the month end close.
• Management accounts and the monthly reporting cycle.
• The response to audit and the continued improvement of our controls.
Cash and Banking
• The cash flow forecast and daily cash position, with regular reporting of actual against forecast.
• Debt facilities, drawdowns, headroom and lender compliance.
Capex and Property
• Capital expenditure and property acquisitions, including the approval, funding, accounting and cash implications, working alongside operations and property.
Budgets and Forecasts
• A key role in the annual budget, and responsibility for the reporting against it.
• Support for the CFO on forecasts and estimates.
Statutory and Compliance
• The year end, the statutory accounts and the external audit, end to end.
• VAT, corporation tax, payroll tax, Revenue returns and company law filings.
The Finance Team
• Leadership within the finance function, including cross cover, succession and development, and support for professional qualification.
About You
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 10 or more years post qualification experience.
• Not a first time Financial Controller appointment. You have held a controller or head of finance role in a growing, multi site business.
• You have led at least three full year end audits end to end.
• A hands on reviewer who also communicates clearly with colleagues outside finance.
• A record of raising control standards in an established team and keeping its people with you.
• Experience of cash flow forecasting and debt facility management, including lender reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of Irish tax, VAT, company law and reporting standards.
• Confident with finance systems and data. We use Sage Intacct, so experience of it is a plus.
• Experience in health and social care is welcome but not essential.
What We Offer
A competitive salary and benefits package, including a company pension and healthcare benefits, in a rapidly growing business.
