Community Support Workers – Supported Living, Co. Clare

What is the position

This is a new Supported Living Service to support service users in their homes.

This service will provide 24/7 support to service users for all activities of daily living – cooking, cleaning, budgeting, house security, socialization, community engagement, etc.

 

Location: Cappahard, Ennis, Co. Clare

Type of contract: Permanent

Hours of work: 3 x 35 hour contracts & 1 x 20 hour contract

 Skills and qualifications

  • Previous experience working with adults with physical, sensory, and intellectual disability
  • QQI level 5 Major award in healthcare or social care
  • Completed or be willing to complete a Patient Manual Handling course
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
  • A strong sense of empathy, flexibility, and a team-oriented work ethic
  • A full drivers license is essential (Manual)

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • The delivery of client care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of Support Plans
  • Ensure that practices within the service comply with Resilience’s policies and procedures, to maintain the highest standards
  • Liaise with Multi-Disciplinary Teams (‘MDTs’) when required
  • Provide support to colleagues within the team setting
  • Act as a mentor for new staff and foster a positive learning environment
  • Participate in the development and review of risk assessments and report concern
