What is the position

This is a new Outreach Service to support a service user in their home, and community support to be provided flexibly throughout the week (includes days, evenings, weekend and bank holiday shifts).

This service will provide 1:1 support to a service user who loves music, movement, horse riding, bubbles and most other sensory activities.

Location: Murroe, Co. Limerick

Type of contract: Permanent

Hours of work: 30 hours per week

 Qualifications & Skills Required

• Own car and full Irish Driver’s licence essential/indemnity insurance required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Level 5 Qualification in Healthcare, Childcare, Social Care, or similar. Level 5 in other disciplines also considered
• Experience working with children or adults with additional needs or a background in childcare
• Experience and knowledge of supporting people with behaviours of concern
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

Job Responsibilities

• In-home support for a single service user
• Support with accessing the local community
• Support with leisure skills & social skills (swimming, horse riding)
• Increase levels of independence and daily living skills
• Personal/intimate care

Note: A full clinical team will be in place to provide supports/interventions as required.
