Our progressive Advanced Community Care specialist division takes nursing out of hospitals and into the homes of those with complex needs. We’re looking for nurses to join our Permanent Team and deliver one-to-one nursing care—nursing at its best. Location:
Dunshaughlin and Clonsilla, Co. Meath/Dublin – home-based care (client splits time between both parents)

Type of contract:
Part-time and relief contracts available

Hours of work:

  • Afternoon shifts: 15:30 – 21:00 (with another Nurse/HCA)

  • Saturdays: 12:00 – 18:00

  • Night shifts: 21:00 – 07:00
    Shifts include afternoon cover during the week, weekend availability, and optional night duties. Full 7-night service supported by a rotating team.


About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to provide specialist care for a young person with complex medical needs including:

  • West Syndrome

  • Global Developmental Delay

  • Uncontrolled seizures

  • Jejunal feeding (Jej feed)

  • Non-verbal, non-mobile

  • BIPAP dependent at night

You will join a close-knit clinical team to deliver one-on-one, holistic care in the client’s home, enabling the young person and family to live as independently and fully as possible.


Your Ideal Background

We’re looking for a nurse who is confident, compassionate, and has experience in (or an interest in training in):

  • Non-invasive ventilation (e.g. BiPAP)

  • Epilepsy management and seizure response

Skills Required

As a Nurse caring for young people with complex needs, you should:

  • Hold current NMBI registration

  • Be an RCN/RGN/RNID with relevant experience in complex paediatric care

  • Have at least 1 year’s post-qualification experience

  • Be confident in delivering complex interventions under a detailed Care Plan

  • Have excellent communication and clinical documentation skills

Previous home/community care experience is welcome, but full training is provided!


Job Responsibilities

You will:

  • Deliver and evaluate client care based on an agreed Care Plan

  • Carry out your role in accordance with the NMBI Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics

  • Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and reporting

  • Liaise with the client, family, HSE, and other healthcare professionals as needed

  • Work collaboratively with the broader Advanced Community Care team
