What is the Position?              

You will be a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) working in advanced community care, providing one-to-one home support to children/adult clients.

Location: Clare

Hours:  Full-Time, Part-Time, and Relief contracts available

What is the Role?              

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide professional, high-quality, and person-centred care to individuals with additional needs. Working as part of a supportive team and in consultation with each service user, you will play a vital role in their daily life and overall well-being.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Supporting clients with a range of daily living activities, including:

  • Assisting with personal care needs (such as hygiene, grooming, and dressing)

  • Supporting mobility and safe movement

  • Providing help with eating, drinking, and mealtime routines

  • Offering emotional and social support

  • Encouraging independence and preserving dignity at all times

  • Helping with general household tasks and meal preparation

  • Observing and reporting any changes in the client’s condition or well-being

  • Following all relevant health, safety, and infection control procedures

What is Required?            

You will have:

• FETAC/QQI level 5/Social Care/healthcare assistant qualification or equivalent;
• Completed or be willing to complete a Patient Manual Handling course;
• Eligibility to work in Ireland;
• A strong sense of empathy, flexibility and a team-oriented work ethic.
• Previous experience supporting adults/children with disabilities is an advantage
