Upskill…Develop…Stay Compliant with the Resilience Nurse Academy
The Nurse Academy is here to support you as you grow as a Resilience Nurse. You can maintain your clinical competency and develop your skills – at no cost to you
Cora O’Leary, Clinical Practice Specialist and Nurse Tutor
Development. Growth. Learning new skills: It all sits at the very heart of Resilience and drives our commitment to Realising Potential – both for the people we care for AND for our own team members.
We’re proud to take this to an important new level, with the launch of our Nurse Academy: providing you, as an Advanced Community Care Nurse, with a valuable, easy and flexible way to access continuous learning and development.
As a Resilience Advanced Community Care nurse, you provide excellent, individualised nursing care to children and adults with complex healthcare needs, within the family home. We call it nursing as its best.
As is the case with all nurses, you are required to continuously develop your knowledge and skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). In line with best practice, the Nurse and Midwife Act 2011 requires you to gain between 21 and 24 Continuous Education Units CEU’s per year to maintain their registration with NMBI.
With over 40 specialised courses available to you, our Nurse Academy helps you facilitate your continuous learning with ease – ensuring you remain competent in your skills and at the forefront of the ever-evolving world of healthcare.
From New Techniques to Changing Guidelines
The Academy provides a comprehensive suite of courses, and all relate to nursing practices specifically for children and adults who require support as a result of injury, illness or disability – or who need the intervention of medical technology to survive. Many of our Nurse’s benefit from learning techniques not previously taught while they were training, while others are able to ensure they work according to new guidelines and procedures.
The courses are very flexible to allow you to study in the way that suits you. Wherever possible, we use central locations for training, so you don’t have to travel too far, saving you valuable time. Some of the courses are also online.
As a Resilience Nurse your training is FREE, and you are paid to attend training sessions.
