Our progressive Advanced Community Care specialist division takes specialist nursing out of hospitals and into the homes of those with complex needs. We’re looking for nurses to join our Permanent Team and deliver one-to-one nursing care, nursing at its best. Location: Co. Cork
Type of contract: Full-Time & Part-Time
Hours of work: 5 x 8 -hour shifts weekly in school (Daytime only, during school hours)

Skills Required
As a Nurse caring for a young child with complex medical needs in a school setting, you should:
• have current NMBI registration;
• be an RCN/RGN/RNID with recent experience of nursing children with complex care needs;
• have a minimum of 1 year’s post-qualification experience;
• display the competence, confidence and commitment to work as part of the Advanced Community Care team;
• have experience or training in:

Enteral feeding (via gastrostomy/PEG)
-
Medication administration and management
-
Seizure recognition and management protocols
Previous experience in a school or community care setting is an advantage, but full training will be provided!
Job Responsibilities
You will:
• attend school with the child, providing direct one-to-one clinical care during school hours;
• assess and deliver nursing care based on the child’s clinical needs and Care Plan;
• carry out your nursing role according to the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Registered Nurses;
• comply with evidence-based practice while maintaining and developing your own, personal, professional competence;
• collaborate with the child’s family, school staff, and relevant healthcare professionals;
• accurately communicate and document clinical updates, incidents, and interventions.
