New Directions Community Support Worker

Day Service – Wexford

We are now inviting applications for the below position as a result of our growth

Full-time Permanent 30 hour Contract in New Directions

Mainly Monday to Friday, days and evening, however some Saturday work may be required

 

What the service is ….

New Day Service (New Directions) Location in New Ross.
Supporting adults with a variety of needs and abilities with their day to day needs, teaching life skills, education, leisure activities, employment etc.
The supports are provided in their own local communities (depending where they live) and in the service location in New Ross.
The people accessing the service have physical & sensory, needs, intellectual disabilities, ASD.
Services are mainly provided are provided Monday to Friday day and evening time.

 

What is the Role?

As a Community Support Worker you will provide a professional, high quality and safe service to people with additional needs – You will make sure all of the client’s needs are met in a completely individual way.

 

What is Required?  You will have:

Full Drivers Licence is essential
Access to own car
Experience of supporting people in the community and day service environment – desirable
Experience supporting people with ID, ASD and physical % sensory needs – desirable
Skills and interest in the areas of sport, art, landscaping, healthy living etc – welcome
Completed or be willing to complete a Patient Manual Handling course
Completed or be willing to complete a Child Protection course
Eligibility to work in Ireland
A strong sense of empathy, flexibility and a team-oriented work ethic
