Business Unit Definition
The Business Unit is the function within the Disability Services Division of Resilience Healthcare that manages all aspects of service enquiries, assessment of person’s needs to inform service model and supports, proposals and bids, Service Level Arrangements, contracts and contract change management and control. It engages with internal and external stakeholders to ensure fast, high-quality responses are delivered to customers. This will allow the business to grow and deliver on development opportunities that present within the sector.
Leading a relatively new team, the Disability Services Business (Unit) Manager will be responsible for all matters related to the Business Unit.
Location: Resilience Head Office, Ennis, Co. Clare (hybrid model)
Type of contract: Full-time permanent
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday from 08.45 to 17.30, Fridays from 08.45 to 16.30

The Role and Responsibilities
- Manage the Business Unit, overseeing all aspects of it; referrals, assessments of potential service user support needs to inform service model and price, developing bids and proposals, contracts and ongoing contract change management/control for the Disability Services division of Resilience Healthcare.
- Oversee Service Level Arrangement process including analysis and notification to business regarding changes, compliance with timelines and change management.
- Strong focus on contract change management, including engaging with finance/operations as required.
- Pricing – coordinate pricing model reviews in partnership with finance and commercial team.
- Contract design – ensure contracts are legally compliant and aligned with the customer SLA process.
- Manage the tender process and EOI’s for new business.
- Point of contact for customers regarding contract management.
- Provide excellent customer service – ensure the customer is happy and communicated to at all stages of the referral process. Work closely with colleagues in this regard.
- Provide reports and analysis to the Commercial Director and Senior Management Team (SMT). Chair/partake in relevant internal meetings/calls.
- Analyse and improve processes as we grow.
- Ensure KPI’s are met related to speed and accuracy. Proactive, not reactive. Problem solve where issues arise.
- Support the Commercial Director/Director of Services to analyse referral data for new opportunities and to inform strategy.
- Ensuring all data is captured through our software systems (eg Dynamics) to ensure ‘real time’ data is available to colleagues at all times
- Engage with IT to ensure ease of use and ease of access to business unit related information, statistics and reports.
- Report to the Commercial Director.
Requirements
- A professional qualification in business or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience within business administration, project co-ordination or similar fields.
- 2+ years’ experience of managing a team.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Creative, energetic, authoritative, able to find solutions.
- Proven ability to plan and manage workloads/projects from beginning to end.
- Ability to evaluate, analyse and improve services/processes.
- Strong IT skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI is of benefit.
- A love of systems, accuracy and delivering to KPI’s.
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders with differing priorities.
