Assistant Team Leader, Gort Co Galway
What is the position?
Support the Service Manager and Team Leader, in providing &team leadership & assist in managing the day to day operation of the service
You will provide a professional, high quality and safe service to people with additional needs – working as part of a team and in consultation with each service user. You will make sure all of the client’s needs are met in a completely individual way, and as an ambassador of Resilience’s values, you will represent.
Location: Gort, Co Galway
Type of contract: Full-time
Hours of work: This role encompasses a commitment to 7 days a week availability, on rotation- the successful candidate will operate on a two week rotation across weekdays and weekends.

Skills Required
- QQI Level 7 relevant qualification
- 2-years or more relevant work experience in the sector.
- Full clean driving licence
- Knowledge of HIQA standards
- Pathway of ambition to become Team Leader, qualifying to QQI Level 6 in Supervisory Management.
Job Responsibilities
- The delivery of client care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of Support Plans
- Ensure that practices within the service comply with Resilience’s policies and procedures, to maintain the highest standards
- Liaise with Multi-Disciplinary Teams (‘MDTs’) when required
- Provide supervisions to team in line with policy.
- Assist Team Leader to ensure training is compliant.
- Act as a mentor for new staff and foster a positive learning environment
- Assist Team Leader in operating roster system to meet needs of service within agreed budgeted hours.
- Ensure mentoring and compliance with medication policy & process.
- Ensure all daily documentation is complete & signed.
- Participate in key worker meetings & support key workers in fulfilling duties.
