We are seeking a Clinical Tutor to lead and manage our training and professional development initiatives, ensuring our clinical staff are equipped with the competencies, skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in their roles.
Location: Primary base Cork or Dublin office, with travel to Dublin office expected several days per month. This is a national post and travel to regional hubs will be required.

Key Responsibilities:
Learning and Development Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive clinical learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals that meets the needs of staff joining the organisation and existing staff members.
- Assess training needs through staff feedback, performance reviews, and regulatory requirements.
- Design and deliver innovative learning solutions, including workshops, e-learning modules, and hands-on training.
Training Program Management
- Create, deliver and maintain training programs that address clinical skills, compliance, and professional growth.
- Ensure all training content is up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, evidence-based practices, and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
Clinical Competency Development
- Design and implement competency frameworks to support staff at all levels of their career.
- Oversee clinical onboarding programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into their roles.
- Provide ongoing education to support the CPD of clinical professionals.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Work closely with the Head of Clinical Services and managers to identify and address skill gaps.
- Serve as a mentor and coach to clinical staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with external organizations, training providers, and accrediting bodies to expand learning opportunities.
Compliance and Accreditation
- Ensure all training programs meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure staff compliance with mandatory training.
- Prepare reports and documentation for internal audits and external inspections.
Innovation in Learning
- Leverage technology to create engaging, accessible, and scalable learning solutions.
- Stay informed about trends in healthcare education and incorporate best practices into training initiatives.
- Promote a culture of lifelong learning by organizing regular knowledge-sharing sessions, webinars, and clinical forums.
Requirements:
Qualifications

- Registered Nurse currently on the NMBI live register (General).
- Master’s Degree in education, Nursing or equivalent.
Experience
-
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a training, education, or leadership role.
- Significant recent experience in care of children with complex needs.
- Experience in designing and delivering clinical training programs.
Skills

- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- In-depth knowledge of clinical best practices, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
